Poppies & Cypresses Tapestry

This tapestry is inspired by the deep green hues of cypress trees overlapping with California poppies and the dry mountain landscape. The yarn was hand dyed to-order in specific color-ways. Flecks of purple, white and sage come through the top section.

Completed in November 2021

It's made with the same wool in the warp (vertical threads) and weft (horizontal threads) to create a balanced weave, and hung on a pure walnut wood dowel.

As hung in the picture, it measures approximately 15 inches wide by 27.5" inches long.
